About
This project started as a plan to replace an existing tin shed with a room that could be used as a games room for the children. It soon developed into a plan for something larger codenamed “partybarn”. Incorporating a mezzanine space. The emphasis of the brief was on creativity and quirkiness. Giving access to the stunning view was also important.
The adjoining stable was pulled into the project to create a library and archive room.
The whole structure is clad in cedar with a cedar shingle roof. Features such as the tin porch used materials from the original building to keep some of that alive.
